We at God’s House of the Apostolic Faith stand behind the word of God and to please God by committing to holy and righteous living. In other words, we will not tolerate nor glorify sin in the ministry at God’s House of the Apostolic Faith. We will promote an environment both in and outside of church that encourages men, women and children to follow and obey the word of God. We will endeavor to always be Biblically correct in our understanding and interpretation of the word of God and to encourage other believers to do the same.
Principle 1
The Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God, written by holy men as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. We further believe that the Word of God existed in the beginning. (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:21; John 1:1-3)
Principle 2
There is one God, who has revealed Himself as our Father, as the Son of Man through his only begotten Son Jesus Christ, and as the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is God manifested in flesh. He is both God and man, referred to in scripture as the Godhead. Speaking of Christ, Colossians 2:9 says “for in Him dwelleth the fullness of the Godhead bodily”.
(Deuteronomy 6:4; John 14:6-14; Ephesians 4:4-6; Colossians 2:9; I Timothy 3:16; Titus 1:3-4, Titus 2:10, 13; Titus 3:4-6; Hebrews 1:2-3)
Principle 3
Jesus is the Word of God that became flesh. He is Immanuel which means “God with us”. He will be judge of all. He is the Alpha, Omega, Beginning and Ending, the First and Last, the Almighty. (Matthew 1:23; John 1:1-2, 14; John 5:19-30; Isaiah 44:6; Isaiah 45:14-15, 18, 21-22; Isaiah 48:12; Revelations 1:8; 11; 17-18)
He is the prophesied Messiah of the Hebrews as Isaiah declared by the Holy Spirit. “For unto us a child is born, unto us a Son is given: and the government shall be upon His shoulder: and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.” (Isaiah 9:6)
Principle 4
We believe that the following are essential steps a person must take in order to be born again and saved from sin:
a. Faith in Jesus Christ.
b. Confession of one’s sins.
c. Repentance from sins.
d. Water baptism.
e. Receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
